To safely and effectively whiten your teeth at home or to maintain the results of your laser teeth whitening treatment, Dr. Rod Gore, a dentist in Scottsdale, AZ, offers home teeth whitening kits. Each kit includes comfortable, custom-fit mouth trays that allow the prescription-strength bleaching gel to evenly whiten the teeth with each treatment. Most patients use their home teeth whitening kit for at least one month to see impressive results. The kit can then be used as needed to maintain results. Instead of one-size-fits-all whitening products sold in stores, consider a customized home teeth whitening kit by Dr. Gore.

"Dr. Gore has the best Scottsdale dental office and staff. One of my crowns installed years ago came off on Easter weekend. Even though it was a Monday and the day after Easter and they were fully booked he got me in to recement my crown. Thank you Dr. Gore!"- D.D. / Google / Apr 10, 2017
"I just moved to AZ two weeks ago and I had a fall while walking my dogs managing to scrape my face and break a front tooth. I was referred to Dr. Gore's office and was seen by Dr. Sebree. When I first met her I was skeptical as she looked 18 years old and new to the business. Boy, was I wrong! She was professional, detailed and meticulous with rebuilding my tooth and making sure it looked just like the others. She is went back and forth looking at it at every angle before she was satisfied with her work. I highly recommend Dr. Sebree and am thrilled with her work!"- K.H. / Google / Apr 03, 2017
At the office, the dentist will make molds of the patient’s teeth to create a custom-made dental tray. These trays protect the gums from the whitening gel, as contact may be harmful and it also minimizes discomfort and irritation during the treatment. Once at home, the patient will fill the tray with prescription strength whitening gel and leave in for a designated amount of time, typically 45 minutes, each day. Some patients may see visible results after one treatment, but most patients need 2 – 4 weeks to see their full results.
Estimate of Cost@headingTag>
On average, home teeth whitening kits cost $400, however this varies based on the patient’s current tooth color and goals. The dentist will go over the patient’s options and associated costs during the initial consultation.
Home Whitening FAQs@headingTag>
Benefits of Home Whitening?@headingTag>
Unlike over-the-counter teeth whitening products, home kits from the dentist use a higher quality and concentration of bleaching agent. Whitening kits from the dentist are also custom fit to the patient’s mouth, so they are more comfortable and whiten the teeth evenly.
Home teeth whitening kits are safe when patients follow all of the product instructions. The dentist may also have tips and recommendations to help the patient get their best results.
How Long Does It Take?@headingTag>
Home whitening treatments are usually worn for about 45 minutes a day, everyday, until the desired shade is achieved. Patients may use the kit for as little as one week or over a month. If the patient is not seeing the results they want, they should return to their dentist for other whitening options.
